ABOUT HER WORK

My work nowadays is related to personal stories, emotional narratives and experiences.

My drawing practice has become the search for symbolic and actual stability; my instructional work is changing from the strict step-by-step action recommendations to the freeway to interpret the images. I play with the authority of a manual and return it to the people in an absurd way of dealing with reality. Thanks to all the diverse people surrounding me and the dialogues and interchange I had and still have with them, I found myself immersed in a world of advice and how-to-do things in order to avoid disappointments, to heal a broken heart and to deal with life in general.

As an artist, I feel the need to conceive appealing works to make visible the invisible.

I created “Robin”, a character based on me and as my alter ego, Robin does things I don’t or can’t do.

The character is a non-binary character and, in these pieces, she is female and she has others to interact with. In the sexual series I want my material to combine very intimate and taboo content with a simple and clean line.
