About the Artist
Belen Majdalani is a photographer who creates visual analogies and parallelisms to unify seemingly disconnected worlds. Focusing on spontaneity and everyday life, her work explores concepts like integration, migration, and diversity.
Her projects have been exhibited in galleries and publications in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Brazil, Russia, and Uruguay.
About the Work
Bridges to Borders: The photographs were taken at the Berlin Wall and the sky that surrounds it. A conceptual and visual analogy in diptychs as a meeting point between two border limits: a wall as a formal limit and the sky as a symbolic limit; both of freedom, life and death. The series also reflects a transitory moment between the destruction and reconstruction of houses in urban spaces.
