ABOUT THE ARTIST
Luján Cambariere
(Argentina)
She is a journalist and curator who is specialized in crafts and design, graduated in journalism at the Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación, Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires and did her Master's degree in Communication Design at the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Over the past 25 years, she has been publishing in various magazines and newspaper as well as participating in TV broadcasting. Since 2000 she has been the editor of the design section from the renowned newspaper Página 12 and also for the Barzón magazine.
As a curator, she has put together exhibitions for the Mad Museum and Wanted Design in New York, the V&A Museum and the London Design Fair in London, the Saint Etienne Biennale in France, the Malba Museum in Buenos Aires and the Museu da Casa Brasileira and Casa do Objeto Brasileiro in Sao Paulo.
She is also the author of El Alma de los Objetos. Una Mirada Antropológica del Diseño, edited by Paidós and Mastercraft. La Importancia de Trabajar con las Manos, edited by Penguin Random House.
She also runs Atico de Diseño, a renown institution for workshops and conferences of various handcrafted disciplines and techniques in Buenos Aires.
